LEARN MORE!

Step up to the slate covered tasting bar where our knowledgeable tasting room staff sample you through a selection of current released wines. Many of our customers enjoy selecting a piece of chalk to draw a picture or leave us a message on the bar. You will find more than books in our library...look for "library wines," a selection of older L'Ecole Nš 41 vintages are available for purchase. Shop for wine-related and L'Ecole Nš 41 logo merchandise.

Restored in 2000, the tasting room occupies one of two classrooms, preserving the old schoolhouse character with original chalkboards, light fixtures, fir floors and moldings. Climb the rolling ladder to select a library book to read at the fireplace or sample your favorite wine at the 100-year-old Baker Boyer Bank check stand. Inspect the antique bank clock or the Falkenberg stained glass windows. In the cellar, take a drink from the children's water fountain outside the Boy's and Girl's rooms. Tucked behind the barrels in the schoolhouse cellar you will still find a hand-painted children's Christmas pagent mural.

In the spring of 2004, we planted 1.3 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon next to the winery. We are pleased to provide visitors the opportunity to observe a working vineyard.
