Syrah
Washington's new hot varietal is Syrah. Traditionally grown in the Rhone valley of France, Syrah is known for its deep, dark, concentrated qualities. L'Ecole Nš 41 began producing small quantities of Syrah from Seven Hills Vineyard beginning in 1999.
With the exceptional quality and reception of our Estate Syrah and the expanded vineyard potential for Syrah in Washington State, we have worked with a number of our established growers to produce a new bottling of Columbia Valley Syrah, starting with the 2002 vintage released in May 2004.
