We recently introduced our Hospitality Staff via social media (Follow us: Instagram & Facebook) and thought we would share a little about the team that looks forward to welcoming you:

Hospitality Associate

Jules brings over 20 years of wine industry experience to the tasting room, and she loves sharing her expertise with our tasters. When not pouring for guests, you can find her gardening, writing, enjoying Walla Walla’s restaurant scene, or on her way to her next concert.

Jules’ current favorite wine:  2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla Valley

Hospitality Associate

Another native Walla Wallan, Ryan worked in the food industry before finding wine. He loves chatting with guests and sharing his knowledge as he serves them. When not at the winery, Ryan can be found enjoying life, taking walks with his family around the local Bennington Lake, or drumming along to his favorite music.

Ryan’s current favorite wine: 2019 Merlot, Estate, Walla Walla Valley (His favorite food pairing with this wine, T-Bone steak!)

Hospitality Associate

Another proud Walla Walla native, born and raised. Prior to joining our L’Ecole team, she worked in restaurants as a server for 9 years before stepping into the wine industry, where she discovered her love of white wines and Rosé. When she’s not serving guests at the Schoolhouse, you can find her creating art, playing with her cats, or going for a bike ride in the beauty of the Walla Walla Valley.

Madi’s current favorite wine: 2021 Chenin Blanc, Old Vines, Yakima Valley

Hospitality Associate

Sydney is a third-generation Walla Wallan who is new to wine but has quickly fallen in love with the wine industry. She is enjoying her educational journey – learning about winemaking, vineyards, and wine tasting – and sharing it with our guests. When not at work, you can find her kayaking, whitewater rafting, singing, and hanging out with her friends and cat.

Sydney’s current favorite wine: 2019 Syrah, Estate Seven Hills Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley (Syrah expresses the soil and site in which it is grown and to Sydney, this wine tastes like home!)

Retail & Hospitality Manager

Ciera is a Walla Walla Valley native who started working at L’Ecole in 2019 after working at various local wineries and restaurants over the past decade. When not at the winery, she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ciera’s current favorite wine: 2021 Grenache Rosé, Alder Ridge Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills

Hospitality Associate

Originally hailing from Woodland, WA, Bryce came to Walla Walla to attend Whitman College and has been here ever since. He loves hosting guests and learning about what brought them to the valley and L’Ecole. In addition to pouring our wine, he is an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at his alma mater, Whitman College. When not at the winery, you can find him on the golf course working on his game or visiting other wineries throughout the valley to further his education of Walla Walla wine.

Bryce’s current favorite wine: 2019 Ferguson, Estate Ferguson Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley (although 2018 Perigee, Estate Seven Hills Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley is a close runner-up)

Hospitality Associate

Born and raised in Walla Walla, Alexis is never short of a smile and laughs for her guests and coworkers. When not pouring wine at our Heritage Wine Bar, she enjoys reading, baking, and playing with her dogs.

Alexis’s current favorite wine: 2021 Grenache Rosé, Alder Ridge Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills (she also has a sweet spot for our 2019 Syrah, Estate Seven Hills Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley. The perfect spring BBQ pair!)

Hospitality Associate

Originally from Indiana, Elizabeth is a former Music & Opera teacher and was drawn to L’Ecole’s Schoolhouse for obvious reasons. When she’s not educating our visitors in the tasting room on everything L’Ecole, you can find her reading a good book, cooking some delicious food, or simply spending time with her husband and puppy!

Elizabeth’s current favorite wine:  2021 Semillon, Columbia Valley

Hospitality Associate

They say that even when you leave Walla Walla, you always find your way back home! Meet Carolyn, a Walla Walla native who moved away for a time, but returned for the camaraderie of the local wine community! With over 40 years of wine industry experience and a Certified Specialist of Wine, she certainly knows her stuff and brings this knowledge to our hospitality staff! She is convinced that our Estate Ferguson Vineyard will one day become the most renowned vineyard sight in the world! It is no surprise that her favorite wine is our 2019 Ferguson, Estate for its beautiful balance of fruit, minerality, structure, and acidity. A wine that is highly collectible with impressive ageability.

Carolyn’s current favorite wine: 2019 Ferguson, Estate Ferguson Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley
