Merlot and Cabernet Franc shine at our Estate Ferguson and Seven Hills vineyards. This is our second ever 50/50 blend of these two noble varietals made in a classic Right Bank Bordeaux style.

Tasting Notes

This Right Bank style estate blend shows intriguing aromas of cranberry, cherries, and plum set against savory notes of anise, herbes de Provence, and cedar. Hints of crushed rose petals and espresso complete the wine. Delicious and supple, the wine’s refined structure offers serious length, supported by herb-dusted tannins.

Estate Seven Hills Vineyard

Seven Hills Vineyard is planted in the wind-blown loess of geologically young, mineral rich soils. It is one of the oldest and most renowned vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley.

Estate Ferguson Vineyard

Ferguson Vineyard, named in honor of our founders Jean and Baker Ferguson, is a 42-acre Estate vineyard exclusive to L’Ecole. The vineyard location is a stunning, high elevation site planted on a ridge of ancient lava flows overlooking a panoramic view of the Walla Walla Valley.

Walla Walla Valley

About the same size as the Napa Valley, Walla Walla is buttressed against the beautiful Blue Mountains on the east, Vansycle basalt ridge on the south, and rolling Palouse Hills to the north. Walla Walla means “many waters” and was the name of the local Native Americans who inhabited the valley.
