DSB is both a reflection of our pursuit of excellence and a homage to our family ancestor, Dorsey Syng Baker, a visionary entrepreneur in Walla Walla in the 1860s. He founded the first bank in the Northwest, built the first railroad, and donated the land to establish one of the first liberal arts colleges in the region. That legacy of innovation continued across generations, as his great-grandson Baker Ferguson founded L’Ecole № 41, one of the first wineries in Walla Walla. His daughter, Megan Ferguson Clubb, and her husband, Marty Clubb, strengthened the vision for future generations by cementing L’Ecole as one of the most respected wineries in the world and by planting the winery’s landmark estate vineyard, Ferguson Vineyard. This exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon represents another milestone in the family’s long tradition of excellence and serves as a tribute to the visionary who started it all.

A rare two‑barrel selection, DSB Cabernet Sauvignon offers a compelling expression of the Ferguson Vineyard. Concentrated aromas of black cassis, red currant, and dark cherry are layered with dark chocolate, Turkish coffee, fresh‑cut cigar, graphite, and crushed volcanic rock, accented by subtle dried herbs, baking spice, and floral notes. The palate is powerful yet seamless, framed by fine‑grained tannins and bright acidity that bring energy and tension. Basalt‑driven minerality carries through a long, composed finish marked by depth, precision, and resonance.
